APRP presentation in english
Research network
Hi XX, how are you?
First of all, thank you for our contact I was exited after our talk because looks like some contacts with the Swiss German part is getting possible. It is a great feeling to realise that I am not alone looking for contacts.
I wanted to share with you some of the ongoing projects. A difference has to be made between the APRP projects who target scientific publications and other projects (Swiss Paramedic Association, VRS) which are more oriented on managerial or quality manners. But these projects share some common ground/needs such as the need for a network, inter cantonal communication and global leadership, just to cite a few.
Here are the descriptions of our projects:
APRP:
The goals of the APRP are:
- To promote clinical research in the prehospital field;
- To contribute to the funding of research leading to the publication of scientific articles addressing the evaluation, development, and promotion of prehospital care, including education and training in this field;
- To provide support in the development of research projects; To facilitate access to full-text scientific articles for its members.
- Some studies are in the pipeline, we support the publication fees (around 3000 $ per project) after submission. 2025 progects:
- Safety of patient's non-conveyance following Emergency Medical Services's response
- Prehospital Cardiac Electrical Biomarker Study
- SWISS PEAK: Perceptions and Expectations of Academic Knowledge in Swiss Paramedicine
- Creation of the multi centric network (start in February, targeted operationally June). We are starting in the French part of Switzerland but we want to expend with the big Swiss German EMS (Zürich, Bern, Basel).
- We plan on establishing a prehospital registry in the next years. We are a the start of this project and are in a exploratory phase.
- We organise a research congress in Murten the 2nd of September. You are more than welcome to join us! Please, let me know if it is of interest to you.
